Overview
I've written an article for Linux Journal on Linux /proc filesystem programming.
It discusses how to programmatically access the "contents" of proc objects and was written from within the context of ifchk Linux.

The piece starts with an overview of what the proc filesystem is and then moves into areas such as secure file access proceedure and proc file data extraction.
